This special shelf cuckoo and quail was purchased for our collection in 2008. This rare clock has an over sized cuckoo and quail, both birds are perched above the dial.

The movement is a massive solid brass plate triple fusee movement, the clock was made by Samuel Kammerer of Furtwangen.

The clock was first brought to our attention in the Book, “Black Forest Clocks” by Rick Ortenburger. The clock was shown in full color on pg 40.

This clock has been on our wanted list and to locate it we searched for it for nearly a decade.

Through a referral the clock was located and was still owned by the same owner since the 1980′s, and as luck had it the owner would entertain an offer.

A deal was made, and I personally traveled 1500 miles to collect the clock.

This clock represents a decade long search for a very special cuckoo clock.
