This extremely rare wood wheel cuckoo with paper shield was purcahsed by us through our website in early 2011. This clock represents the first of the cuckoo clocks made in the Black Forest. To say this clock is rare is an understatement… an artical published by the Furtwangen museum in 2008 stated that at the time of the articles publication there were only 4 known surviving examples in literature.
